Here we have a very nicely made GNR Gresley O1 air running chassis. Made to the Martin Evans 'Nigel Gresley' design, these build into a very powerful and usable locomotive in this scale.
The machining work on this one is first rate, and although there is obviously a lot of work to go before the first fire gets lit, the work that is there has been done to a very good standard. We've had it ticking over in the workshop on air, and it will run down to nice slow speeds in both forward and reverse, notching back well too.
A very good start, with arguably the bulk of the hard work done.
